my birthday was just two saturday's ago. August 13th! i turned 24 and through out the entire day i couldn't help but remind myself of my 20th birthday and how big of a deal it was. i was no longer a teen and to me that was a BIG deal, a huge deal i felt on top of the world. like i could accomplish anything and everything!! i had so many ambitions and wants four years ago. wants that i think now are a bit ridiculous. but then they were important and i was determined to accomplish them. it amazes me to think now at 24 i have a whole new list of ambitions and dreams to achieve. funny how that age thing works. how we grow as individuals and mature into these adults that we are meant to be. i miss 20 sometimes...when things seemed a little more simple and less worrisome. as i grow older life becomes a little more challenging but less complicated. i think about how far i've come, how i've changed. who i am working towards becoming, what my life is now and in all honestly i am giddy for my future. happy for today because i am not content in living normally. but i have decided that 24 is the year i lived radically. i want to change the world, inspire this new generation, give hope to the hopeless. love people to the extreme, make a difference even the tiniest one. for the first time in my life i feel as though i am apart of something bigger than myself and i only have God to thank. he has pushed me, and challenged me to be the person i am. 23 that was a great year...but 24 it's going to be something i can't even put into words.
On my birthday my besties surprised me with sushi at my favorite sushi restaurant where we live "stingray" it's the one place that comes pretty close to "sushi zone" it was amazing. i had no idea that they had anything planned and it made me realize how lucky i am to have such wonderful girlfriends. my darling friend Asia who is an incredible baker in training made me vegan birthday cupcakes
