gosh, i remember mine.
his name was Richie and i knew that one day i was going to marry that boy.
he had these beautiful brown eyes that whenever i stared into them i would get weak at the knees.
he was the keeper of this gorgeous smile.
he was the keeper of this gorgeous smile.
there was this one time that he sang to me "our song" he called it.
All or Nothing by Otown.
our song...i listened to it four hours and hours and even then i wasn't sick of it.

Yeah it was epic, special and all mine.
i remember blushing and thinking man o man i found it.
this is love and no one or anything will ever come between it.
that love is something i will always remember. something i will cherish
because it was as real, as real as it was going to get at the age of 14.
because it was as real, as real as it was going to get at the age of 14.
i thought i had it all figured out, didn't you at that age?
i've always worn my heart on my sleeve. always been the hopeless romantic.
i remember in 9th grade i had my entire wedding planned out
flowers, cake, bridesmaid even the songs we would dance to.
i think back at those days and i can't help but tear up, laugh, think i'm a complete nerd.
those sacred memories. as sacred as any memory could ever be.
there are times i wish i could be in that girls shoes again.
when lipgloss and colored eyeliner were the few things i worried about.

that boy, he was somethin special.
he changed me.
he introduced me to my first kiss, my first relationship quarrel, he was the first to sing to me, the first to write me love poems, the first to give me goosebumps...he was the first to show me what love was...the type of love that makes your heart go pitter patter.
that boy, that sweet sweet boy.

ah, i remember my first love. it was a passionate, wild, tragic first love. we were kept apart, by his parents, because of our different religions. i'll never forget him and the feeling he gave me when he looked at me. it took me 7 years and 3 boyfriends to find that kind of love again. i've finally found "the one"...but nothing quite compares to that wild passionate "romeo and juliette-esq" relationship that was my first love.
thanks for sending me down memory lane. xx
i've always been that girl, too, planning my wedding from the age of 13! and then i was lucky enough to actually marry my first love :) but oh, i know you never forget those first love feelings! they are really somethin else.
